The Soviet T-34/76 Model 1942 medium tank in the exceptionally large 1:16 scale - a plastic kit with a richly worked interior and running gear.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit captures the legendary Soviet T-34 medium tank in the version with the 76 mm gun of 1942, in the unusually large 1:16 scale. The finished model measures over forty centimeters and becomes a genuine focal point of a display case. The package offers separate upper and lower hull tubs, an early-type cast turret, rubber-tired road wheels and a detailed rendering of the inside of the fighting and engine compartments. Metal parts for the tow cables and clear headlights are also enclosed.
The T-34 is among the most significant tanks of the Second World War. It combined sloped armor, wide tracks and a reliable diesel engine in a design that surprised the enemy with both mobility and toughness. The Model 1942 version was given a roomier cast turret and a number of production simplifications that sped up mass production in the wartime factories. In this form the tank fought on the Eastern Front during the period of the great tank battles.
A large scale rewards care. Finish and paint the interior and the running gear first, and only then close the hull up - once it is glued you will not get inside. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, spray the extensive surfaces with an airbrush and apply the base color over a primer. For a lively appearance, lightening the upper surfaces, dark washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear all work well. Paint wear along the edges gives a model in a large scale impressive depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
