MH models 1:72 JAS-39C Gripen wheels is a detail set of wheels for a model of the Swedish JAS 39C Gripen fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer MH models replaces the landing gear wheels of a plastic model of the JAS 39C Gripen in 1:72 scale. At small scales the wheels tend to be the weakest point of kits: the tread is shallow, the hub merges with the tire and the shape often does not correspond to the load of a standing aircraft. A replacement part is therefore among the simplest improvements with an immediately visible effect. Check the exact contents of the package, the number of parts and the material on the packaging of the set.
The JAS 39 Gripen is a Swedish single-engine multirole combat aircraft in a delta arrangement with canard surfaces. The C version is single-seat and corresponds to the standard with the ability to refuel in flight. The aircraft was designed from the outset for operating from short, poorly equipped strips, which the sturdy landing gear matches; on a model it is a clearly visible assembly, because the Gripen is almost always displayed with the landing gear extended.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that they are rid of mold release agent residue, and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, level the mating surface with a file and protect your airways while sanding. They are glued with super glue. Paint the tires a dark gray shade and set the hubs apart with a lighter color or a metallic shade; the transition is easier to mask with tape cut into narrow strips. A little dust pigment around the circumference of the wheels settles the model onto the ground.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
