1:32 F/A-18B Hornet by Red Fox Studio is a sheet of 3D decals for the cabin of the two-seat Hornet version. An accessory for both stations, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B version is the two-seat variant of the original Hornet, derived from the single-seat A. Behind the pilot it has a second cabin with an instrument panel and side consoles of its own, so the decal set has to cover two stations rather than one. That is the main difference from the items for the single-seat versions and at the same time the most common reason a customer picks the wrong one.
With a two-seat cabin, a far larger area is visible under an open canopy than with a single-seat one. Bare plastic between the front and rear seats therefore stands out, and neither a flat print nor hastily painted dials will save it. A layered decal with a thickness of its own works well here: the edges of the panels cast a shadow, and the cabin reads as deep even without photo-etched parts and wire.
The order of work
With two cabins it pays to work from the back forward. Settle the decals in the rear station first, which is harder to reach once the fuselage is glued, let them set overnight and only then do the front cabin. Cut each piece close to the edge of the print so that no rim of carrier film is left under it, and soak it only briefly; long soaking loosens the adhesive layer more than is good for it. Before closing the fuselage, check both panels from the side, because once it is glued they can no longer be moved.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
