Sparco PRO-ADV racing seats in 1:18 scale from Hobby Design combine resin, photo-etched metal and decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
An interior accessory for car models in 1:18 scale. The name gives a pair of bucket-type seats after the Sparco PRO-ADV, rounded out with photo-etched metal and a sheet of decals. Neither the vehicle nor its body is included; this is purely cabin equipment.
Sparco is an Italian maker of racing clothing and cockpit equipment whose seat shells are among the most widespread in rally and circuit use alike. The construction is made up of a rigid shell, upholstery and pass-throughs for the belts, so the seat keeps the crew in place through a corner. It is exactly the tall bolsters and the openings for the belts that make this type an element you notice at once in an open interior.
Clean the castings and let them dry thoroughly; only then apply the primer. The shell looks good in a muted black with a hint of fabric texture, which you get from a light drag of gray across the edges of the upholstery. Seat the photo-etched items with gel cyanoacrylate, so that there is time left for straightening them up. Apply the decals with the logos onto a smooth gloss base and press them down into the shape with decal softener, otherwise they would stand proud on the curved bolster.
