1:20 Paul Ricard Circuit Base is a printed base for a model that puts the surface of the well-known French circuit under a finished car.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is neither a kit nor an accessory that would be glued to a model. It is a flat printed base on which you simply stand a finished car, so that it stands on a convincing racing track surface rather than on a bare table or on the floor of a display cabinet.
The subject is the Paul Ricard circuit near the village of Le Castellet in Provence. The track came about in the early 1970s with the funds of the businessman whose name it carries, and it has belonged among the best-known European circuits ever since. It became famous for its exceptionally long Mistral straight and for its vast run-off areas, thanks to which the facility is recognizable at first glance even from distant shots.
1:20 scale is the home scale for collector Formula 1 cars, so the base suits them without compromise. In a cabinet it replaces a neutral floor, and when photographing it holds the perspective and does not break it up with reflections from a tabletop. The continuous printing at the same time helps keep the look of a whole collection uniform when you use the same surface under several cars in a row.
The car, figures and any other equipment are not part of this item. The base is sold on its own and the modeler uses it as it is.
