A set of precisely turned metal barrels from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:200 scale. It is not a ship model but an accessory which replaces the plastic barrels of the artillery armament with fine metal parts. The package holds barrels of four calibers: 30.5 cm (4 pieces), 15.2 cm (14 pieces), 7.6 cm (20 pieces) and 4.7 cm (12 pieces).
Mikasa was a Japanese pre-dreadnought battleship of the beginning of the 20th century and became famous as the flagship of Admiral Togo in the Battle of Tsushima in 1905. Her main armament was formed by turrets with 30.5 cm guns, complemented by a medium and a light artillery battery.
The metal barrels are fitted in place of the plastic parts of the kit. Careful cleaning up of the mating surfaces, gluing with cyanoacrylate glue and degreasing before painting are recommended. The metal holds its shape, it does not warp and it gives the bores a faithful look.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
