A deck set with photo-etched sheet in the blue rendition for a large model of the American battleship USS Missouri BB-63 from the Trumpeter 03705 kit in 1:200 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory from Artwox Model for a large-format model of the American battleship Missouri. According to the name it is the blue variant and a photo-etched sheet is included as well. The point is simple: to replace the engraved plastic deck from the Trumpeter 03705 kit with a surface that has a grain of its own, which looks different from even the best shaded finish.
The Missouri belonged to the Iowa class and joined the fleet in 1944. It was on her that the Japanese representatives signed the surrender in Tokyo Bay on 2 September 1945, and the photograph from that day went round the world. Today the ship is a museum and is among the most visited war veterans of all.
First rid the plastic base of grease and of dust from sanding. Try all the pieces dry in place before you seat them permanently, and work from the large surfaces to the small cutouts around the gun turrets. The darker shade matches the period practice of the American fleet, where the horizontal surfaces were covered with a dark finish against observation from the air. Bend the photo-etched pieces over a sharp metal edge, never in your fingers.
