An injection-molded plastic kit of the American mobile C-RAM system on the chassis of the HEMTT A3 heavy truck in 1:35 scale from I Love Kit. The extensive kit contains a great many parts, a cab, rubber tires and photo-etched elements. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of decal schemes against the details given on the box.
C-RAM (Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar), also designated Centurion, is the land version of the Phalanx rapid-fire system with a 20 mm rotary cannon and its own radar. It automatically intercepts incoming rockets, artillery shells and mortar rounds while they are still in the air. The mobile variant on the Oshkosh HEMTT A3 hybrid chassis appeared around 2008 as a prototype and in the end did not enter series service.
First assemble and paint the chassis and the cab interior, and only then close up the bed. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched elements with super glue. Lay on a primer and paint with an airbrush — a desert sandy shade is typical. You will create the weathering with washes and pigments (dust and mud deposits), and fine-tune the metal cannon barrels at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
