1:100 BT-7M with a radio set is a resin kit of the diesel version of the Soviet fast tank in command configuration.
Responsibility details are not available.
The last and technically most advanced member of the Soviet family of fast tanks, worked up as a resin kit in 1:100 scale. It carries radio equipment, so it suits a command machine for a unit built from the other items in this range.
The fundamental novelty was a diesel engine developed in Kharkov, which replaced the previous gasoline power unit. Diesel meant lower consumption, a longer range and above all a lower risk of fire after a hit, which had been a pressing weakness on the earlier machines. Series production got going in December 1939 and just under eight hundred vehicles were built. The conical turret and the 45 mm gun stayed as they were, and the changes took place mainly inside the hull and in the engine compartment. In 1941 this type made up the best part of an otherwise aging fleet of fast tanks, and its engine became the basis of the power unit of later Soviet armored vehicles.
The engine compartment and the exhausts will take more pronounced work with pigments. The diesel engine left dark deposits around the outlets, which can be suggested by stippling a very dark brownish gray shade around the openings. Let the track run show metal only on the contact surfaces and keep the rest in an earth tone. Before the final matting, make sure that no mark left by cutting off a casting block has stayed on a visible edge.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, so the final look of the model depends on your work alone.
