Wall Tile Seal Roller is an impression roller with a masonry pattern from the manufacturer U-STAR. It makes it possible to create a regular wall texture on the surface of a future diorama.

A tool for building dioramas from the manufacturer U-STAR. Around the circumference of the roller is a raised masonry pattern, which is impressed repeatedly as it is run over a surface. The result is a continuous wall with a regular bond, which can only be created by hand very tediously. It is not a finished part of a building or a modeling compound but an aid with which you create the texture to any extent you like.
The texture is impressed into a surface while it is still pliable. The key is even pressure and a smooth movement in one direction. With masonry, how the strips join also matters: run them so that the bond continues and no visible vertical joint appears where an impression ends. A corner of a wall is best dealt with by impressing the texture onto two separate pieces and joining them only once they have dried.
Too deep an impression looks unnatural in a small scale, because a real joint is fine against the size of a brick or a tile. So try the pressure on an offcut. Clean the roller right after work, otherwise the compound in the relief hardens and the next impression will no longer be sharp. Once dry, masonry deserves some variation in color; a single flat color would optically level the texture out and the whole job would come to nothing.
