An accessory from the SX-Art brand in 1:35 scale intended for the German Gepard anti-aircraft vehicle in the A1 and A2 versions. It is neither a model nor a set of plastic parts but a film that imitates the iridescent sheen of the optical instruments on a finished model.
The Gepard stands on the chassis of the Leopard 1 and carries a pair of 35 mm cannons, but above all it is a vehicle built around sensors. Besides the driver's and commander's periscopes it has an optical gunsight and, with it, radar equipment for searching and tracking a target. That is exactly why the difference between dead black facets and livelily gleaming optics is seen more strongly on it than on an ordinary tank: the glossy points on the turret are more numerous and lie close together, so they support one another.
The film changes only the look of the optics. It does not replace plastic parts, it does not add missing detail and it does not alter the shape of the turret. It is not meant to be painted, because a coat would cover the holographic layer. Work with it at the end of the build, when the vehicle is varnished and weathered, and set aside a quiet moment for it with good light, tweezers and a magnifier.
