Canopy glazing masks for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero carrier fighter, version 32, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M was a carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy, known at home by the short name Reisen and in the world as the Zero. The A6M3 model 32 version was recognized by its wings with shortened, squared-off tips. The Allies at first took it for a new type and listed it under a code designation of its own, Hamp.
Canopy glazing masks for a model in 1:48 scale. The parts are prepared in their finished shape and are laid onto the clear canopy, so the frames come out straight and the same width along their whole length, which is hard to achieve with tape cut by hand. How many parts the set contains and whether it also includes masks for the inner face of the canopy are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before masking, wash the clear part and let it dry perfectly; on a greasy surface a mask does not hold and the paint creeps under. Lay the mask on and press the edges down with a blunt tool, so that no gap is left anywhere. Spray the frames first in the shade of the cockpit interior; once that has dried the exterior color follows. Lift the mask off as soon as the coat has set. Glue the clear part with an adhesive intended for canopies; cyanoacrylate can fog glazing.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
