The late mantlet with the 6pdr Mk.V gun is a resin replacement for the gun mantlet with a metal barrel for models of the Churchill III and Crusader III tanks in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement part from the Polish maker PANZER ART for British tanks armed with the six-pounder gun. The set covers the late version of the gun mantlet together with the Mk.V barrel and is made as a replacement for the plastic parts of a kit. It is not a tank model but an accessory that has to be completed with your own Churchill III or Crusader III kit.
The six-pounder gun replaced the weaker two-pounder in British tanks and for the first time gave them a weapon capable of penetrating the frontal armor of the German tanks of the day. The longer Mk.V version differs from the shorter Mk.III in barrel length and with it in the shape of its seating in the mantlet. The Churchill III was an infantry tank with tracks running around the whole hull, while the Crusader III was a fast cruiser tank of the North African theater.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent so that mold release agent residue disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, never break them off, and level the area with a file. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the parts with super glue, as ordinary cement for plastic will not hold on resin. A coat of primer before painting is advisable, as it unifies resin and plastic.
