A replacement set of road wheels for a 1:35 model of the Puma wheeled infantry fighting vehicle in the 4x4 version. They replace the kit parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Puma is a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle; the 4x4 version stands on two axles and belongs among the lighter armored vehicles of its class. On a vehicle like this the wheels form a substantial part of the silhouette and carry its characteristic stance, so on the finished model the way they are made is clearly visible.
Replacement road wheels for a model in 1:35 scale. The wheels take the place of the kit parts and have their own shape of tread and rim. The exact number of parts, the version of the tire and the way they are fitted are given in the manufacturer instructions; check them in advance, because the manufacturer makes two separate sets under this name and they differ precisely in the version of the tire.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; super glue holds on resin and metal. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder down so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on them. Paint the wheels separately from the vehicle and fit them only once the running gear is finished. For the tire choose a dark gray shade rather than pure black, which swallows the tread at this scale; then bring the pattern out with a light dry brush.
The set suits modelers who are bothered by the simplified shape of the kit wheels or who want a tire with a more pronounced tread on the model. It is also worth the effort where the vehicle goes into a scene and the wheels sit at the viewer eye level. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
