Sherman 75 commander cupola, British pattern, 1:35 scale is a resin replacement part that takes the place of the kit commander cupola on a model of the Sherman tank with the 75 mm gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a tank model. The set holds a resin commander cupola that you fit during the build in place of the plastic part from the kit. The casting is shaped as a single whole, so there is no need to join half to half and no need to sand a parting line on a round shape, where the repair is always at its worst.
On Shermans the commander cupola is a detail that changed during production and between armies, and it is often the feature by which a particular vehicle is recognized. The manufacturer offers several patterns and this set is marked as the British one. So if you are building a Sherman in British service, choose this version; for an American vehicle reach for the standard pattern. Compare the differences between the versions with a photograph of the particular vehicle you are building.
Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before gluing so that the paint holds on it. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the mating surface on abrasive paper laid on a flat board, because only then will the cupola not sit crooked on the turret roof. It is bonded with super glue. Lay down a primer before painting, and once the shade is on, a dark wash in the hatch gaps helps, along with a gentle rub of the edges that the crew wore down most on the real vehicle.
