The Yokohama Advan Neova AD09 in the wide form for 1:24 scale is rubber for car models with enlarged wheel arches.
Responsibility details are not available.
A version of the rubber prepared for builds where the body is widened and there is more room in the wheel arch than on a production form. A wide tire completes the aggressive stance of a car that production sizes cannot imitate. This is an accessory for a build, not a model of a car.
The Advan Neova is the sporting road marking of the Japanese firm Yokohama, and the AD09 represents its present-day form. The wide sizes from this line are in reality fitted to modified cars with widened fenders, or else to high-performance coupes, where a lot of power has to be put down on the road. The tread pattern stays a road one, that is broken up and with drainage grooves, so the car does not come across as a purely circuit special. On a model this combination suits anywhere you are building a road car with a pronounced body modification.
With wide rubber the risk grows that the wheel will stand out beyond the outline of the fender on the model. Before it is seated for good, measure the distance from the side of the tire to the outer edge of the widening and adjust the offset of the rim if need be. In terms of color, wide road rubber suits a slightly dusted lower part of the side and a clean tread, as though the car had been running in the dry. Keep the lettering on the side restrained, so that it does not overpower the overall impression.
The set completes a part-built model and in itself is not a model.
