Replacement Hobby Design rims made to the 15M.V2 pattern. According to the name, the package holds four resin wheels and metal valves. The pattern differs from the brand's other designs in the drawing of its spokes, so it suits anywhere a car is meant to look different from the builds of the same type around it while keeping its present-day character.
The Californian company ADV.1 builds wheels to suit a particular car, with the order setting the width, the offset and the finish. Two wheels of the same pattern can therefore sit completely differently in the arch. The 15M.V2 pattern is one of its spoke designs, and similar wheels are fitted to modified supercars where the brake caliper is deliberately left showing through the spokes. On a scale model what decides is therefore how cleanly the spokes are cast and how thin their edge is.
Dark shades of the anthracite or graphite kind suit this pattern and let the brake caliper behind the spokes stand out. So paint the caliper before you seat the wheel on the axle. Pick out the edge of the rim lip with a polished metal shade applied with a fine brush. A matte varnish at the end evens the surface out and hides any small traces of sanding and of leveling the mating surface.
