The British touring car of the newest generation as conceived by the Alpha Model brand. The set stands on resin castings, which have sharp shapes and a smooth surface but will not stand rough handling. The build is therefore taken slowly, in stages and with a running check of the fit.
The DB12 was presented in 2023 as the successor to the DB11. The brand launched it with the ambition of moving the classic grand tourer closer to a sports car: it was given a reworked chassis, a wider track, a markedly reworked interior with multimedia controls of its own and a turbocharged eight-cylinder of four liters. The characteristic radiator grille and the drawn-out nose remained the recognition mark of the whole family, whose letter designation is among the longest-used in the history of the British carmaker.
A deep metallic needs an even base, or every irregularity will show. The radiator grille can be picked out with a dark wash that runs between the vanes. If the casting of the body warps, careful warming in lukewarm water will help it back into shape before the gluing begins. Finally, seat the wheels so that the car stands level on all four.
It is sold as a set for building; the coating materials and glue are the modeler's own addition.
