Replacement wheels for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf-109 in the large 1:24 scale, made with the tire bulged as it comes out under the weight of a standing aircraft. According to the name they are meant for the F version and for the early machines of the G version. The designation type 2 distinguishes the version within the range, alongside which type 1 also stands. Exactly how the two variants differ is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so before buying compare photographs of the machine you are building.
A wheel is one of the few places where it can be seen on a finished model that the machine is standing on the ground and weighs something. A replacement wheel is moreover finished in one piece, so there is no gluing of two halves and no sanding of a joint running across the whole tread.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, ordinary glue for plastic models has no effect on them, so use super glue. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down carefully. Before painting, wash and degrease the wheels. When gluing, watch that the flattened area points toward the ground and that it is turned the same way on both wheels; a wheel fitted crookedly can be seen from every angle.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the supply, unless stated otherwise.
