A set for the large Gustav of the G-6 version in one twenty-fourth. The film covers the canopy from the face and from the reverse, and four insignia masks are enclosed.

The Bf 109G-6 is the most numerously built form of the whole family and it can be recognized at first glance: two elongated bulges stand out above the engine cowling, which had to appear because of the breeches of the large-caliber machine guns. German pilots called them bumps and to this day they complicate the sanding of the seam on the fuselage. The machine was built from 1943 in such quantity that you will meet the most varied combinations of armament, exhausts and cockpit shapes on it.
The most common disappointment after a mask comes off is paint that got under the edge of the film. The safeguard is simple and costs five extra minutes: once the mask is stuck on, run a wooden toothpick or a blunt stick along the edge so that the film sits down even into the hollow by a frame, and make the first, very light coat in the shade that lies under the mask. That seals the microscopic gap with its own paint and the further coats have no way through. Spray perpendicular to the surface, not at an angle under the edge, and three light passes rather than one broad one.
The package covers the cockpit glazing from the outer and the inner side and adds four masks for the national insignia. The film is lifted from the sheet and stuck straight onto a degreased clear part. Do not underestimate the degreasing: a fingerprint on clear plastic holds grease, the film will not sit down over its whole area on it and it is exactly there that the paint then runs under. A cotton swab moistened with alcohol is enough, and let the part dry in the air without wiping it with a cloth, which leaves fibers behind.
