The cross-laid pattern in seventeen inches completed with tires with a stretched side.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stretched tire is the signature of one particular style of modification. A narrow tire is pulled over a wider rim, the side is thereby tensioned into a cone and the edge of the barrel stays exposed right down to the bead. On a real car it is a compromise between looks and sense; on a model it is mainly a question of a shape that cannot be imitated with an ordinary tire from the box.
The side of the tire here does not have the classic bulging belly but a straight sloping wall. The wheel therefore looks larger than its eighteen millimeters of diameter would warrant, and the typical slit comes about between the bead and the lip of the fender. At the same time more of the inner side of the barrel is uncovered, which is a detail that simply is not to be seen on a series wheel from a box, because there the plastic passes smoothly from the rubber into the rim without any division at all.
Arms laid in a cross from the factory pattern number eighteen belong to the legacy of Bavarian sedans and coupes of the nineties. The grid is dense but open between the arms, so one can see well into the dish.
Spray the arms of the disc first and let them dry properly. Put the tire on only afterward, carefully and gradually around the circumference, so that the rubber is not stretched on one side alone. Tilting the wheels with their lower ends outward is usual with this style; if you reach for it, work the axle pins before the body is painted rather than after, because a later intervention in the arch can no longer be hidden by paint.
