The Stepwgn is a compact minivan built above all for the Japanese market, where a tall body with sliding side doors is valued for the maximum use of its footprint. The generation with the designation RF3 arrived at the start of the new millennium and offered a flat nose and a low floor. It is exactly these roomy van shapes that the Japanese tuning scene took to for the so-called VIP style, which combines a low stance, wide wheels and a conspicuously luxurious interior.
A tall flat side surface is the most demanding part in painting, so lead the airbrush continuously from one end to the other and do not break the pass in the middle. Large windows call for care in gluing, otherwise milky traces will stay on the inner side. The interior is well visible through the glazing, so it pays to set the upholstery apart with a more saturated shade and to complete it with dark shading of the folds.
