Hasegawa 1:24 Evangelion NERV Official Business Coupe with a figure of Shikinami Asuka Langley is a licensed plastic kit of the official coupe of the NERV organization accompanied by a figure of the character.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of an automobile in 1:24 scale from the licensed range of the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa devoted to the world of the animated series Evangelion. Besides the coupe itself in the official form of the NERV organization, the package also holds, according to the name, a figure of the character Shikinami Asuka Langley. The particular number of parts, the scale of the figure and the extent of the decal sheet are given on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions.
This is a licensed, so-called character edition: the basis is a model of a passenger car that has been given the markings and the color scheme of a fictional organization from the animated source, and it is accompanied by a figure of one of the main characters. For a collector it is the link between classic car modeling and Japanese popular culture. Which production automobile the body is based on can be told from the illustration and the information on the box.
Build the body as you would an ordinary civilian car: a filler primer, sanding back wet, color in thin coats and a gloss top coat. Markings and emblems in licensed editions are usually handled with decals, so apply them over a gloss base and clear-coat them once dry, so that the edges of the film disappear. Deal with the figure separately, ideally on a wire before gluing it into the car: build the skin from a light base toward thin glazes and bring the clothing to life with fine shading. Mask the glazing before spraying and glue it only with a cement that does not fog clear plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
