Responsibility details are not available.
The first-generation Ford Escort was among the most successful rally cars of the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. It was light, simple and easy to repair, which counted for more on the special stages than power on paper. The RS1600 version stood at the top of the range: under the hood it had a 16-valve inline four with twin overhead camshafts. The angular body with round headlamps and a sloping tail is still one of the most recognizable shapes in the sport.
It is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, the usual size for models of passenger cars. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the exact range of parts and the number of marking options are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
With a car model, the body decides everything. Before painting, sand it all over with fine abrasive, wash it and let it dry, because every scratch will be exaggerated under a gloss coat. Apply the paint in several light coats and leave enough time between them for drying. Mask the windows before spraying, not after the paint has dried. It is practical to finish the chassis, the interior and the engine bay before you fit the body, because after that you cannot reach them.
Paints, glue, filler and add-on sets are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
