According to the name it holds a vise, a bench grinder and a bench drill press, that is the three basic machines that stand on a workbench or beside one in every repair shop. It is not a kit of a vehicle and not a set of parts to be installed in a body; it is equipment for the setting around a model.
An empty workbench is the most common weak spot of garage dioramas. These three machines are precisely what fills it convincingly and without improvising: a vise on the edge of the top, a grinder next to it and a drill press on a stand of its own make up a recognizable workplace that the viewer reads at first glance. The set makes sense above all because it is sold as a whole in one scale and one style, as putting the same thing together from random parts out of various kits leads to a mismatch of sizes that shows in a finished scene more than a missing detail.
Separate the parts from the carrier, level the seating surfaces with a file and wash them in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting. Choose the glue according to the material; on resin and 3D-printed parts, super glue holds reliably. Paint the machines over a primer, each in a different rich color, as one single shade on all three looks like a toy. Leave the metal parts in a dark metallic shade and bring the edges out with a dry brush. At the end, a dark wash into the recesses and a barely noticeable dust from a pigment around the foot of the stand. Before gluing them to a workbench, dry-fit the arrangement.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The workbench, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
