A pair of turned metal barrels of the German MG 17 aircraft machine gun in 1:24 scale from MASTER. A replacement for the plastic parts on large aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds two turned metal barrels of the German MG 17 aircraft machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber in the large 1:24 scale. The parts replace the plastic barrels from the box and, in this scale, where every detail stands out, they markedly refine the look of the armament. The manufacturer is the Polish brand MASTER.
The MG 17 was the standard fixed synchronized machine gun of German fighters and bombers of the Second World War. It was often mounted in the fuselage above the engine, where it fired through the propeller arc; it was carried among others by the early versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The 7.92 mm caliber matched the infantry ammunition of the time.
Cut off the plastic barrels and clean up the seating surfaces. Bond the metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After degreasing, apply a primer for metal and tone the barrels in dark metallic shades; in a large scale even small traces of wear come out well.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
