An unassembled injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Aoshima in 1:24 scale. The subject is the Nissan Gloria in the four-door hardtop form (a body with no center pillars) with a two-liter inline engine and in the higher SGL-E equipment level. The set is meant to be glued together and painted.
Together with its sister model the Cedric, the Gloria belonged to the stately upper class of the Nissan brand. The 2000 version carried a two-liter six-cylinder engine, and the SGL-E form refers to the luxury equipment with electronic fuel injection. The four-door pillarless hardtop was a popular feature of elegant limousines in Japan.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic; it is a good idea to spray the body with surfacer and then gloss enamel or clear coat with an airbrush. Patient cleaning up of the mold seam lines will bring out the chrome trim strips and the interior details. The glazed areas of the hardtop will show at their best when the window frames are cleanly finished.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
