An injection-molded plastic kit of the Honda City Turbo city car in 1:24 scale from Tamiya of Japan. Besides the car itself, in the package you will find parts to build the Motocompo mini scooter and a driver figure. The body captures the characteristic features of the real subject, including the bulged hood and the angular fog lights; the red stripes and markings are handled by the decals supplied. The newer release has revised instructions, revised decals and added masks for the glazing.
The Honda City Turbo appeared in 1982 as the sporting version of a compact city car with a turbocharged inline four and a pronounced bulge on the hood. It was accompanied by the small Motocompo scooter with a 50 cc engine, which with the handlebars and seat folded down fitted into the luggage compartment of the car, so that the driver could get even where the car cannot park.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, sand the parting lines down and treat the surface with filler before the paint. Spraying both the body and the scooter with an airbrush is recommended; a glossy car comes out best after an overcoat of clear varnish and polishing. The masks supplied make spraying the glazing frames easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
