A plastic kit of the Japanese Isuzu 117 Coupe in its late rendition, 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Isuzu 117 Coupe is a Japanese coupe with a drawn-out front end, a low roofline and a strikingly clean body shape that stood out from ordinary production in the Japan of the 1970s. It was built in several progressively reworked renditions, and this model captures the late version of the second half of the 1970s, listed under the designation XC-J.
It is a classic plastic kit in 1:24 scale, that is in the size in which most models of passenger cars are built. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the extent of the parts and the color scheme are described in the enclosed instructions.
With a car model the paint is what counts. First rid the body carefully of excess material and irregularities, sand it with fine paper and wash and degrease the surface. Lay the paint down in thin coats with enough of a pause between them, otherwise drops form and the sharpness of the edges is lost. It works well to pick out the chrome trim only after the paint has dried, so that the surplus can be wiped away. Assemble and paint the interior before you close the body up; afterwards you can no longer get into it.
The kit suits modelers who collect Japanese cars or who are looking for a coupe with an unusually clean line. Paints, glue and putty are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
