An injection-molded plastic model of the rally car Lancia 037 Rally in 1:24 scale from the production of the Japanese brand Hasegawa. It is an edition with detail accessories - besides the plastic parts the package also contains photo-etched sheet for fine features such as radiator and intake grilles, mesh, brake disc faces and wipers. The decals capture the car of the Duriforte team as it started in 1986 in the European Rally Championship (ERC).
The Lancia 037 was a Group B rally car of the first half of the 1980s. The car had a mid-mounted engine and drove the rear wheels - it was the last rear-wheel-drive car to win the world rally title for manufacturers (1983). A four-cylinder engine supercharged by a mechanical supercharger and a light composite body made it a feared rival on both fast and twisty stages.
Bond the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is advisable to spray the body with an airbrush and, once it has dried, to polish it over with a gloss coat so that the color areas of the sponsor livery come out well. Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss base and fix them with varnish; finish the chrome and black details of the interior and the engine with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
