A New Ware masking set at the highest EXPERT level for a large model of the North American P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft in the D and K versions and the British Mk.IVA in 1:24 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, follow the frames of the glazing exactly and lift off with no adhesive residue. The EXPERT level offers the most complete coverage including the inner masks of the glazing, the wheels and small details, which stands out particularly clearly in the large 1:24 scale.
The North American P-51 Mustang is a single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War, famous for its long range and its powerful V-12 engine. The P-51D version with the bubble cockpit canopy is among the best known; the closely related P-51K differed in its propeller, and the Royal Air Force designated comparable machines as the Mustang Mk.IVA.
In the large 1:24 scale the glazed areas are extensive, so accurate masks speed the work up markedly and ensure sharp transitions. The inner masks make it possible to color the frames from the inner side as well. Lay the mask on degreased glazing and apply the paint in thin coats.
These are self-adhesive painting masks, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
