Yahu Models 1:24 P-47 early is a finished pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel for the early versions of the Thunderbolt. It replaces the flat plastic part in the cockpit and brings legible dials with no painting.

This is not a kit of the aircraft but a detail accessory for the cockpit. The set holds a photo-etched instrument panel that comes color-printed from the factory, including the dial faces of the individual instruments, so the tedious hand painting and dry-brushing of tiny details falls away. The panel is shaped for the early versions of the Thunderbolt, that is for the machines with the high fuselage spine running into a framed canopy. In 1:24 scale the cockpit is very well visible, so the investment in a quality panel shows in the result immediately.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by an air-cooled Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial engine with a turbocharger housed in the rear part of the fuselage, which gave the aircraft its massive fuselage and excellent performance at high altitude. The early versions with the spine behind the cockpit were put into service by the units of the US Army Air Forces first in the escort fighter role and later more and more often as a fighter-bomber for attacks on ground targets.
Before gluing, degrease the part gently and try the fit dry. The raised relief of the instruments usually has to be sanded off the plastic panel in the kit, so that the photo-etched part sits flat. Glue with a small amount of cyanoacrylate or with a glue meant for photo-etched parts, applied around the edges, so that the glue does not get onto the printed surface. Keep your fingers off it, grease will mark the print. You get the impression of glazed instruments with a drop of clear gloss varnish or of thicker cyanoacrylate, applied into each dial with a toothpick.
This is a cockpit accessory, not a kit of the aircraft. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
