Hobby Design 1:24 Rays Volk Racing G25 rims bring one of the most sought-after Japanese wheel patterns into a build.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Hobby Design set with rims made to the Volk Racing G25 pattern from the Japanese brand Rays. The name states that there are four rims. Among followers of the Japanese scene the G25 pattern is one of the most sought after, so it comes into play on builds from small compacts through sedans to large coupes without looking out of place on any of them.
Rays Engineering is a Japanese wheel maker that sells its racing line under the Volk Racing name. The wheels are produced by forging, which gives them high strength at low weight, and that is why they turn up on circuit cars and on street builds alike. The G25 pattern has a multi-spoke drawing with curved arms, and the bronze shade the brand has used for years is typical of it.
Lay the bronze or golden shade over a light base, otherwise it comes out dark and dirty. Pick the curved arms out with slight darkening where they run into the center of the wheel. Lettering on the face of the rim is easier to produce with a decal than with a brush. Before fitting the tire, check that the rim seats fully home and that the finished wheel turns without runout. A difference of a few tenths of a millimeter shows on a finished build.
