Responsibility details are not available.
The Mazda RX-7 of the FD3S generation is a sports coupe with pop-up headlights and rounded shapes, which was produced from 1991. It is powered by a two-rotor Wankel engine with two turbochargers arranged one after another, so that the smaller turbocharger works from low revolutions and the second joins in only higher up. The engine is placed at the front and spins the rear wheels. Spirit R was the closing series, with which production ended in 2002; the Type A execution is a two-seater, with a five-speed manual gearbox and sports seats.
An unassembled plastic kit of the RX-7 FD3S in the Spirit R Type A version in 1:24 scale from the firm Fujimi. The model is built by the usual procedure: the body, the interior, the glazing, the wheels and the underside of the vehicle.
The rounded body has no pronounced edges, and all the more does every scratch show on it, so smooth the surface carefully with fine paper before the ground coat. Seat the pop-up headlights only after the paint is finished; the front area is then easier to mask. The interior of the two-seat version is simple and it is worth painting the seats and the dashboard separately, still before you seat them in the tub. The recommended glue and the order of assembly are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers of Japanese sports cars in 1:24 scale and for admirers of rotary engines who want to have the last series of the RX-7. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
