This is a self-adhesive masking set from the brand Kits-World in the large 1:24 scale. The templates are cut to fit a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc fighter and serve to cover the canopy glazing and the wheels. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting; in a large scale clean masking is especially important. The set is intended for the Airfix A17001 kit.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc was one of the most widespread and most successful versions of the Spitfire. Thanks to a powerful supercharged engine it matched its opponents at altitude and became a mainstay of the Allied fighter force in the second half of the Second World War.
The templates cover the canopy frames and the wheels exactly, so that spraying leaves sharp transitions without laborious work by hand. Degrease the clear parts, press the mask down against the edges of the frames and spray in thin coats; lift the mask shortly after it dries.
The set holds masking templates only. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
