An injection-molded plastic kit from the Italian brand Italeri in 1:24 capturing the modern European Scania S series long-haul tractor unit with the most powerful V8 eight-cylinder engine. The richly broken-down kit faithfully reproduces the engine, the chassis with its suspension and the detailed interior of the cab-over cab. The box holds plastic parts, rubber tires, waterslide decals and instructions. The model is among the favorite tractor units for collectors of modern trucks.
The Scania S series represents the top of the Swedish brand Scania's range in the long-haul tractor segment. The 770 S V8 version is powered by a V8 engine that is among the most powerful production engines in European trucking. The tall cab offers the driver comfortable quarters on long-distance routes, and the V8 is a traditional mark of prestige for Scania. The vehicle is meant for demanding international haulage.
Use liquid cement for plastic on the plastic. Spray the cab body with an airbrush over a primer and bring it up with varnish for the gloss typical of a tractor unit. Apply the chrome items and the decals only onto finished paintwork; paint and fit the V8 engine, the chassis and the cab interior before you close the cab up.
