Responsibility details are not available.
The Siebel Si 204 was a twin-engine all-metal low-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear and twin vertical tail surfaces. It grew out of a smaller communications machine and from the start it was built for a role that textbooks rarely dwell on, but which no air force can do without: training. Whole bomber crews were trained on board, that is navigation, radiotelegraphy and instrument flying, and the same machine also served to carry people and cargo. You can recognize the D version at first glance by the fully glazed nose, which follows the outline of the fuselage smoothly and has no separate windshield for the pilot's cockpit.
During the war the Si 204 was built under license outside German territory, among other places in Czech factories. That is why it went back into production after 1945 and flew in Czechoslovak colors for a long time after the war under its own designation. It served as a transport and training machine and belongs to the types associated with the postwar revival of Czechoslovak aviation.
On this version the glazed nose is what decides the result. It pays to mask it carefully and to spray the frames first in the shade of the cockpit interior, and only then in the exterior finish. A twin-engine fuselage is sensitive to balance, so check in advance whether the model sits back on its tail once it stands on its landing gear. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
