A kit of the competition car Subaru Impreza WRC in the specification for the Acropolis Rally, the 2005 and 2006 seasons, in 1:24 scale. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Subaru Impreza WRC of 2005 and 2006 belongs to the last generation of competition Imprezas built on a sedan body. It is powered by a turbocharged flat-four mounted longitudinally ahead of the front axle, and the drive goes through a set of differentials to all four wheels. The competition rendition differs from the production car in its wide fenders, a massive rear wing, cooling openings in the front hood and a roll cage in the interior.
The Acropolis Rally is among the toughest events of the world championship. It is run in the summer heat on stony roads that put the cooling, the dampers and the underbody guards to the test. The gravel specification therefore differs from the tarmac one in greater ride height, different wheels and a more robust chassis. Flying stones also wear the paint on the fenders and the sills into a state that is worth recalling on a model.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remaining excess down so that the edges stay clean. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting; the gloss paint of a body reveals every irregularity, so it pays to smooth the surface carefully. A gravel atmosphere is given to the model by a dusty underside, matter surfaces below the sills and a faint hint of light dust behind the wheels. The order of assembly and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For collectors of competition cars and for builders of car models in 1:24 scale. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
