Masks for the cockpit canopy frames of a Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter model in 1:24 scale, for the inside and the outside of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb is one of the most widespread versions of the British Spitfire fighter. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine and carried two 20 mm cannons in the wing, supplemented by machine guns. It entered service in 1941 and fought on practically every European and Mediterranean battlefield.
Masks for the cockpit canopy frames of a Spitfire Mk.Vb model in 1:24 scale, for the inside as well as the outside of the glazing. The inside masks matter where the cockpit is open and you can see in: the frames then have the right color on both sides. The masks already have the shape of the individual frames, so the laborious cutting of strips from masking tape and measuring against the glazing falls away.
Stick the masks onto clean, degreased glazing before spraying. Lift them off the backing with a sharp point, lay them on the frame and press them down, then run a toothpick along the edges so that paint does not run under them. Spray a thin coat of the cockpit interior shade first, then the covering shade of the airframe. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has set; once it has fully cured they come away from the edge less easily and may pull the finish off.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
