A plastic kit of the Toyota Celica 1600GT sports coupe in 1:24 scale. It is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Toyota Celica was the first Japanese coupe built to the recipe of American sports cars: a coupe body of its own, the engine longitudinally at the front and the rear axle driven. The designation 1600GT belonged to the more powerful version with a 1600 inline four. The car made its mark in competition as well, and to this day it is among the classics of Japanese production of the 1970s, which look good in a display case beside more recent types.
It is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, that is a set of parts to be assembled and not a finished model. The number of parts, the contents of the decal sheet and whether the package holds rubber tires and parts of clear plastic are given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's enclosed instructions.
Paint the body before the windows, handles and external trim go onto it, because sharp edges are far harder to mask on a finished assembly. Wash and degrease the plastic before painting. A glossy surface comes out best in several thin coats with enough drying time between them. The chrome trim and window frames call for masking tape stuck on before spraying; a clean edge cannot be made by touching the edges in afterward.
For modelers who collect Japanese coupes and sports cars of the 1970s. Paints, glue and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
