A set of WORK Equip 01 wheels for car models in 1:24 scale, in the form corresponding to a fifteen inch wheel. It is an accessory, not a kit of a car: a scaled-down version of a classic Japanese design with which you replace the wheels from the box.
The real subject. The Equip range is among the oldest and most characteristic products of the Japanese brand WORK Wheels. Typical of it is a multi-piece rim with a visible ring of bolts around the circumference and a fairly flat center, a shape that today points unmistakably to the 1980s and 1990s and to the Japanese tuning scene of the day. The fifteen inch diameter matches that: at the time these wheels were made, a fifteen was a full-fledged size on a sports car, not a compromise.
In builds the Equip 01 turns up on period coupes, sedans and kei cars, and it is a favorite feature of builds in the stance style, where the deep dish and the low tire profile come into their own.
Separate the parts carefully and sand the cuts flat. After degreasing and priming, spray the paint in thin coats. On multi-piece wheels the contrast gives the greatest effect: the center in a color shade, typically gold, bronze, white or anthracite, and a polished barrel with the ring of bolts brought out with a metallic paint applied by brush. It is precisely the bolts around the rim that are the detail giving the wheel character, so do not drown them in a heavy coat. Leave the metallic shades to the end.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit of a car. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
