1:16 Soviet SSh-39/40 helmet (detail) is a resin accessory for finishing off Red Army figures and dioramas in the large 1:16 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed resin reproduction of the Soviet SSh-39/40 steel helmet, the main helmet of the Red Army in the Second World War. It is a separate accessory made by 3D printing from resin by the Czech manufacturer Firma49 in 1:16 scale, ideal as a replacement for a less successful helmet on a figure or as an object laid loose in a scene.
Helmets of the SSh-39 series and the SSh-40 that followed, with their characteristic smooth domed shape, were worn by Soviet soldiers throughout the war and long after it. They differ mainly in the form of the inner fittings; on the outside they have the typical simple silhouette that this detail captures faithfully.
Wash the part, separate it from the print supports and clean it up gently with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the helmet in a matte khaki green, bring it to life with a dry brush, wear on the edges and a light patina; a discreet accent on the rivets and the rim adds to the fidelity.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
