AIMS, national insignia for the Bf-109 G-10 Erla (1:35)

A set of wet decals in 1:35 scale with the national insignia of the German Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-10 fighter from Erla production. It is not a kit but an additional decal sheet from the British brand AIMS.

The real subject

The Bf-109 G-10 was one of the fastest production versions of the legendary German fighter from the end of the Second World War. Aircraft from Erla production carried characteristic manufacturing differences in the cowling and the canopy.

Use

  • Apply the decal over gloss varnish for a clean transition with no silvering.
  • Dip the sheet briefly in lukewarm water and slide the insignia onto the surface.
  • Fix it with a softener and coat it with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
