Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels for the BTR-80 in 1:72 scale from the Armory brand, the manufacturer's part number ARAC7348. The tires are cast weighted, that is with a flattening where they meet the ground. It is not a model of the carrier but a replacement part. Armory describes the set as retooled; for the BTR-80 it also keeps older wheels in this line under the part numbers ARAC7324a and ARAC7324b.
The BTR-80 is a Soviet armored personnel carrier with 8x8 all-wheel drive, introduced in the 1980s as a replacement for the BTR-70. It got a single diesel engine instead of a pair of gasoline units, reworked side plating with angled firing ports and a machine gun turret. It is amphibious as well and still serves in a number of armies. What marks it out are exactly those wide tires with a coarse off-road tread pattern, of the KI-80N type in this class of vehicle.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water and only then put primer on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surface; sand wet and do not inhale the resin dust. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). When gluing, take care that the flattened spots of all the wheels point downward and sit on a flat surface, otherwise the vehicle will stand crooked.
It is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
