Plastic pipe elbows in a large diameter, meant for building industrial elements yourself. The figure 16 mm in the name gives the diameter, not a scale. Within this line it is the thickest diameter listed, and the way it is used follows from that.
A large diameter does not work as an accessory but as a structural element of a scene. It leads the viewer's eye, separates the planes, forms the entrance to a scene or, on the contrary, closes it off. On a diorama of a refinery, a chemical works, a boiler house or an underground complex, such piping builds the main line onto which everything else is then hung: smaller offshoots, valves, walkways and cabling. Heavy piping also works as a key to scale. A figure stooping beneath it says at once how large the space around is, and that is an effect hard to achieve with finer details.
