A kit of the American light cruiser USS Cleveland CL-55 in 1:700 scale, in the Deluxe Edition form and in her 1945 fit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The USS Cleveland was an American light cruiser and the first ship of the class of the same name, which was among the most numerous light cruiser classes of the Second World War. The main armament consisted of twelve 152 mm guns in four triple turrets, complemented by 127 mm dual-purpose guns in twin mounts and, as the war went on, by a rapidly growing number of anti-aircraft barrels. Cruisers of this class escorted carrier task forces, covered landing operations and bombarded coastal targets.
It is a model in 1:700 scale, that is in the size in which ship models are most often built and in which a whole task force can be displayed side by side. The figure 1945 in the name gives the period to which the fit of the ship relates; the closing phase of the war differs from the 1942 fit mainly in equipment and anti-aircraft armament. The extent of the package in the Deluxe Edition form is given in the manufacturer's parts list.
The parts in this scale are small, so separate them with a sharp blade and work over a mat from which a dropped part can be found. It pays to paint the hull and the decks before the superstructures go on, because the small barrels and boats are hard to reach later. Leave the railings and the rigging until the very end.
Paints, glue and other material are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
