Dipping ink 60 ml - GREEN GHOST DIP is a dipping toning ink from the acrylic range of Green Stuff World. It is applied generously and runs into the recesses, where it darkens the shadow and brings out the relief. The name of the shade refers to a ghostly green.
This is not an ordinary opaque paint and you should not count on repainting a base with it. A dipping ink is semi-transparent - it works with whatever is underneath it and only tones it. That is exactly why it works: more of it gathers in the recesses and the layer looks darker there, while on the raised places it is thinner and the base shows through it. Anyone expecting it to behave like a full paint will be disappointed; anyone who uses it as a tool for shadow and tone will save a lot of work. And one more thing: it is not an opening step to start with, but a step added to an already worked surface.
