Paint Set - Dipping collection 04

Paint Set - Dipping collection 04: tones from one range together

This is a set of dipping inks from Green Stuff World. A dipping ink is applied generously, runs into the recesses and engraved lines by itself and darkens the shadow there. The essential property of the package, however, is something other than the individual tones: they all come from the same range, so together they form a system that can be combined, layered and extended step by step.

A system against a random collection

Anyone who buys paints one at a time, and from various brands on top of that, ends up after a few years with a shelf full of bottles that do not talk to each other. One tone is thicker, another thinner, a third behaves differently, and the result has to be hit upon anew every time. A package from one range is the opposite: you have a group of tones that handle the same way, can be mixed with each other and used to create your own intermediate steps. You then top up the stock piece by piece exactly where it runs low, and you do not have to change the whole procedure.

How to handle the set

• Shake the bottle properly before every use, the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Apply the ink generously and let it run; do not spread it like an opaque paint.
• Combine the tones with each other and create your own intermediate steps.
• Pick the excess off the raised areas with a clean squeezed-out brush.
• Store the bottles upright and well closed, and keep the necks clean.

Who the set is for

For modelers who build a permanent working line-up of paints and want it based on one range, not on random purchases.

Keep out of the reach of children, work on a protected surface and in a well-ventilated room.
