SSN125 stainless nippers with a slim head are Japanese nippers 125 mm long that reach even into tight spots between parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese-made nippers with an overall length of 125 millimeters in the slim-head version. The jaws are of stainless steel and have a flat flush cut. The narrowed head is the main difference from the basic version: the nippers fit in between densely packed parts on a sprue and into the inside of a part-built body.
Modern kits have sprues packed to the limit and small parts often sit a few millimeters apart. With a wide head you cannot get to the gate without pressing on the neighboring part, and that part breaks off easily. The slim head goes in even there, and likewise into an already glued chassis where a surplus pin or a wire has to be cut off.
Always turn the straight side of the jaw toward the part. Cut in two goes, first a little away from the part and then flush, so that the plastic does not tear. A slim head is by its nature weaker than a full one, so do not lever sideways with the nippers and do not use them on hard materials. Wipe the jaws dry after work.
The stainless version is an advantage for modelers who work with water-thinnable paints and rinse their tools often.
