A resin replacement part for the air intake of a model of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail part that replaces the simplified kit intake with a more faithfully shaped and cleanly cast one. The set is made by Quickboost, which specializes in simple resin upgrade parts that are quick to use.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was one of the best Italian fighters of the Second World War, powered by a license-built Daimler-Benz inverted V12 engine. The characteristic intake for cooling and combustion air is one of the prominent features of the nose that a faithful casting brings out.
Wash the part free of mold release agent in lukewarm water with detergent and separate it from the casting block; clean up the surface with respiratory protection. Glue it with cyanoacrylate (superglue). Paint the intake together with the surrounding fuselage, and bring out the inner throat with shading for an impression of depth.
The part is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
